(Photo : Twitter/FiftyShadesOfGrey) Which scenes from E.L. James’ “Fifty Shades Darker” should be in the film starring Dakota Johnson?
“Fifty Shades Darker” will be released in two more years, but fans are already speculating on what will happen to Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson).
Unfortunately, since E.L. James’ entire book cannot be squeezed into its film adaptation, here are the 4 scenes that we believe should be part of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” sequel.
1. Christian’s dark past or backstory
Christian was first introduced in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” but the film did not really divulge much information on who he truly was.
“Fifty Shades Darker” will kick off where “Fifty Shades of Grey” left off, which means that Christian and Anastasia are still broken up.
During this brief period, Christian will continue to wrestle with his inner demons, and it’s important for fans to understand where all of his rage is coming from.
2. Mrs. Robinson and Anastasia’s first encounter
One of the new characters that will be introduced in “Fifty Shades Darker” is Mrs. Robinson, the woman who influenced Christian to get into BDSM.
Upon first meeting each other, Mrs. Robinson and Anastasia will immediately despise each other. Ana will be disgusted by the fact that Mrs. Robinson seduced Christian when he was just 15 years old. Mrs. Robinson, meanwhile, will be antagonistic towards Anastasia because Christian sees her not as a submissive, but as a girlfriend.
3. Leila Williams breaking into Anastasia’s apartment
Another new character who will be introduced in “Fifty Shades Darker” is Leila Williams. In the book, Leila was dubbed as Christian’s former submissive.
After suffering from a mental breakdown, Leila will stalk Anastasia. At one point, she will break into her apartment and point a gun at her. This encounter between the two would take a toll on Anastasia’s relationship with Christian and will lead to the latter proposing to the former.
4. Christian and Anastasia’s engagement announcement
Christian and Anastasia will announce their engagement during the former’s birthday party. This scene should be included in the film because this is where Christian will decide to end his professional relationship with Mrs. Robinson.
“Fifty Shades Darker” is slated to hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2017.
