“Fifty Shades Darker,” the highly anticipated sequel to “Fifty Shades of Grey,” has been the subject of numerous rumors especially since production for the movie is expected to start early next year.
One of the most popular rumors claimed that lead actor Jamie Dornan, who plays billionaire Christian Grey, will be going full frontal.
However, even though this rumor continues to circulate, there are reports pointing out that a full frontal scene will most likely not happen.
Yibada reported back in July:
“Just recently, there were reports that Dornan himself will be having full-frontal scenes in ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ and fans were looking forward to seeing this.
However, it is quite obvious that Dornan will not be having full-frontal scenes because first, ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ cannot contain nudity. Additionally, the film will go through censorship before it is released in theaters.”
The rumors were claiming that Dornan was offered approximately $1.5 million to go full frontal in “Fifty Shades Darker.” Some rumors claimed that a body double would be offered a significant amount of money for a full frontal scene.
Even though “Fifty Shades of Grey” had a huge opening in the box office, the movie was still heavily criticized for the lack of sexual content, especially since the movie is based on E.L. James’ very graphic books with strong BDSM-themes.
Even if Dornan does not strip completely bare for the world to see, it does not mean that the movie will not be raunchier than the first one.
Several people have speculated that since the second movie will be directed by a man, James Foley (the first movie was directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson), it could feature racier scenes between Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who plays love interest Anastasia Steele.
In the meantime, before filming can even start, the movie still has to find a casting director to fill key roles (Jack Hyde, Eleanor Lincoln/Mrs. Robinson and Leila Williams).
“Fifty Shades Darker” will hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2017.
