I am going to start this tomorrow. Monday, January 16, 2017. The diet does not say what kind of salad dressing is ok to have with the salad. It also does not talk about how much fruit, vegetables, or chicken is suppose to be eaten at each meal. If you have some guidelines for this please share.
    Thank you,

      Hi Rhonda,

Please go moderate with chicken. As for fruits and vegetables, you can eat more if you want. There are no fast rule for this. And combine moderate exercises to your plan. Walking is a good start. Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, I can’t suggest any other options than chicken. I assume you are a vegetarian or you don’t eat chicken at all.

What if I am celiac? What can be a substitute for the meal bread. I can not have whole wheat bread as I am highly allergic to wheat.

          2. Admin Post author

            Hi Michelle,

You don’t have to take wheat bread. Try tuna sandwich or other bread that is organic or sugar free. Hope this helps.

I just read this diet and before starting it I would like to know what is Meal bread? what type and portion of fruit are you allowed for breakfast? How much chicken and fish can you have, how much steamed vegetables? What dressing can you use on your salads? what veggies can you use on your salad.
Please let me know soon, because me and my husband would like to try it and start this coming Monday. Thanks so much!

One word of caution. Because breads are processed food, not a natural fiber food like fruits or beans, please having no more than one slice a day but for me, two is okay. Because i like sandwiches and sandwiches require two slices of bread. That is for me.

            It is up to you.

            Hi Hestie,

            I

Popcorn is still relatively high in net carbs and if you are seeking to optimize your mitochondrial health anything more than an ounce or two of popcorn is not a wise choice.

Remember the way to prevent most all chronic degenerative diseases will be to teach your body to burn fat for fuel. It would be FAR better to eat high fiber vegetables for carbs than grains.

            Hope this helps.

This diet is rubbish it not enough calories per day you might be super hungry after 2 day and eat more that the diet says. Because body needs more calories, also people should eat only 5 eggs a week not 4 a day ?? Not good one

      1. Kay Grisham

It has worked for me. In a week I lost almost 6 pounds so I am happy with that. If I had walked more I would have lost more. Still on the diet. Not super hungry either. I normally eat a lot and drink soda. Have had I regular soda during this diet. And not even a whole diet drink. You will lose on this diet.

who says you can only have 5 eggs a week? I eat between 10 – 12 a week and always have done, and am extremely healthy, have excellent cholesterol etc. Unless your doctor specifically states to watch cholesterol and don’t eat eggs, 5 a week is rubbish. The only thing this many boiled eggs might do for you is make you flatulent (and for all you “what is meal bread” people, that means you fart alot. )

As for calories, you do need to consume enough calories, but the author not only said check with your doctor, she also said to count your calories, so if it isn’t enough, eat more. . She also said you could have Bacon, sausage, and cheese, in moderate amounts which will help with your calories. she also said this is NOT for long term weight loss – it is a two week diet to quickly lose a few pounds.

If I were going to try it, I would probably have the bread every day not only the first two days in order to keep my calories at 1100-1300 (which is where I need to be to lose weight…everyone is different.)

It’ll be weight watchers cheese sticks (2), almonds, pistachios, yogurt, if I’m craving sugar about 2 figure newtons.

It’s steamed chicken or vegetables not stream. This is a very low calorie diet and extremely hard on the body to follow and not usually maintainable for two weeks. I wouldn’t recommend more than walking while eating this small a caloric intake because the body will go into starvation mode and weight loss will hault. This is a bit of a fad diet but results are obtainable. But it is all too easy to gain it right back if one resumes normal eating or binges are this highly restrictive diet.

          Hi Alexa,

I think you got it all wrong. This is not a fad diet unless your doctor says so. Why should you starve yourself? Even if you go walking, you should consume enough chicken to be able to lose weight.

Boiled eggs are more nutritious than other types of eggs because they are cooked without oil or butter, which adds additional calories and fat to the finished product.

I mean why are you on her page, because you needed to lose some of your big fat butt, me to right, because christmas kick my ass gained some wieght and trying to get it off, and she was nice enough to post this for us, and then you have to try to knock her down to feel better about yourself, shame on you!!!
Didn’t your Momma teach you anything, if not then here is a life lesson for you.
If you don’t have anything nice to say, sit down and shut the hell up, because nobody likes a jerk anyway!!!

            Hi Kaleb,

Here is one of my favourite. Wish-Bone Light Italian. If you like organic, Annie’s Balsamic Vinaigrette is great. Both are low calories. I think most of the salad dressings will do just fine. Pick one that suits your taste. You must enjoy your food in order to lose weight. Hope this helps.

This poor woman has answered the question “what is meal bread” about 50 times. Read the thread, or figure it out. She obviously is not a native English speaker, so work it out to probably mean whole grain bread. It isn’t rocket science. and I am frankly sick of every other person asking “what is meal bread” every other post. It is becoming a joke.

          READ THE THREAD!!

Meal bread was answered many times..I mean do you want her to come to your house and show you what a fork is too? It is a joke, how so many can not search or read for themselve. If I want to hear “Polly parrot”, I can just get off here and listen to my hubby over and over again..haha!! I say good luck to all,and maybe a few can get attacked in thier dreams by the giant meal bread..ha!! Rose in NJ.

I’m sorry, but 24 pounds in 2 weeks isn’t healthy at all. Just eating healthy and exercising and sleeping right will get the job done.

It’s easy to say “just” do this or “just” do that. But having medical conditions such as hypothyroidism that can mess with your sleep, destroy you metabolism, and make your body hold onto weight, despite exercising makes “just” do this or that an impossibility.

I did the whole eat right and exercise thing for months, and loss 2lbs in 2 months. Every morning i would get up very early walk to the track and do 10 laps and walk home. Everyone would say starting you day of with some mild cardio would increase my energy throughout the day, but i had no energy.

I stuck to a diet plan, with fruits, and salads, but by noon i had no energy for my children. My libido suffered, my family suffered. To work so hard for 60 days and see such little results was depressing, and only made the hypothroidism worse.

Judging without knowing the situations is not the way to go. Sometimes having quick results can be just what you need to jump start your metabolism.

I plan to start this diet on the 9th of February. I will pick a good workout plan, and i am going to be diligent. If this works i will repost my results. So please try to understand that simplifying what is difficult for a lot of people can come off as an insult.

Maybe you should consult with a dietician or your doctor…because I can lose 2 lbs just drinking slimfast for 2 days. In addition, maybe instead of measuring your success in weightless you should measure it in inches or how your clothes feel. If you exercise then you might gain muscle and not really lose weight.

Why do you all get on here or any other diet place and suddenly common sense just vanishes out the window? So many people act like its their first day of school and they dont know how to think for themselves! If you know how to use a computer and you know how to read, it would SEEM you can figure this stuff out too. Then again… some of you are too busy corrected her typo! Rant over.

I think the diet instructions could of been detailed a little better. Like how much chicken? What is meal bread? (Is that white bread, wheat bread you could at least give some ideas about the types of bread that may work best with the diet). What about drinking water, juice, coffee, tea or smoothies? The diet itself sounds do able but definitely think some key points were left out.

      Hi Jenni,

Practise eating moderate of chicken if possible. You can’t go wrong with that. As for meal bread, i find whole wheat bread best. Because it’s low in calorie, you actually burn more fat.

Mixing your juice, smoothies and snacks works better in losing weight faster and healthier than on solely say coffee. Hope i didn’t miss out your questions.

All, meal bread can be flax bread, almond meal bread, oatmeal bread etc… all are healthy including whole ground wheat bread. I can give you more examples. Tuna with two slice of breads.

With meal bread, just be careful not to overindulge. The most important is the calories that matters. Hope this answer your question.

I had a friend send me this diet on a different website and I started it Monday, Jan 23rd…. On the other website it didn’t say “steamed” chicken or how it should be cooked… So I actually have been busy and on a couple of my meals that have “salad with chicken”, I have drove through and got a fried chicken salad… Sounds terrible right?? 😩 I used regular ranch dressing. I also drink a cup of coffee every morning with blackstrap molasses and organic sugar with cool whip on top 😳 (I have done this for a long time and hated to not get my blackstrap in my daily diet and I can’t stomach it without all the other in my coffee lol) I’m saying all this to say that even fudging I have lost over 5 lbs in 3 days 👏👏 so it defiantly works and I’m sure it would be 7-9 lbs if I was doing everything I’m supposed to! I’m excited and can’t wait to weigh tomorrow:)

I started today, Feb. 6, 2017. Day 1 went good. No strong cravings or hunger. I combined breakfast and lunch together, having my coffee earlier with a little Fairlife milk. My dinner salad consisted of romaine, carrots, cucumber, tomatoe, red bell pepper and a dressing made from evoo, apple cider vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon mustard, and herbs. I flash cooked the chicken breast (dusted with Cajun spices) on top of the stove and then cooked in the oven on 250′ for a hour, with a splash of low sodium chicken broth. I added the chicken to the salad and it was delicious. I hope this is satisfactory and not going out of bounds of the diet. Please let me know if this is acceptable. I questioned myself on the veggies in the salad. In a few days I’ll return with an update. Thank you so much for inspiring me to take the challenge.

Hi, found this on Pinterest. Will try it starting next week. For those who say they are starving, this is a “clean eating” type diet…start with more chicken/veggies if you need and perhaps slim down little by little. I never thought to eat more HB eggs – 6g protein per egg, nice. I’ve been slowly changing my snacking habits throughout my work day – no more cookies, chocolate pretzels, etc. Now ill have Greek yogurt with agave, or strawberries and raspberries. A great fruit to try is grapefruit once you can get past the bitterness. I used to hate it now I LOVE it. In summer it’s watermelon for any meal, and it fills me up. Also for people asking about salad dressings, if you have 60 seconds to whip up your own, I like to melt coconut oil and mix with garlic, lemon juice, little cayenne, paprika and apple cider vinegar. I’m 5’2″ and 140lbs so Im hoping to try and lose at least 15 lbs and if it takes longer, that’s okay. My small changes I hope will help me in the long run. I already cut soda 10 years ago (Yay!) and now stick with 100% juices on occasion, water all the time and sparkling water with lemon or pomegranate when I’m craving something fancy. Sorry for the longwinded post! Good luck with the diet, everyone.

      Hi Heather short stuff,

Thanks for dropping by and sharing your inspiring healthy living. I’m really impress and inspire the way you live your life. The fact that you take action to cut down on cookies, chocolate pretzels, soda for 10 years (wow) and drink 100% juices, not many people could do it even for a day.

So, if you going to give this diet a try, you don’t have to change much of your existing diet. You can continue drinking lemon or pomegranate which is excellence choice of juices.

I sincerely believe everyone should give this diet a try if you want to change your body and life. Good luck to everyone and god bless you.

Hi. Today is my 6th day of the diet and I m feeling fine..mostly I am not hungry and when I am I take a cup of vegetable soup if it’s before meal time and after meal I take a cup of green tea and I m full and energized all the time..I noticed loss of 2 pounds in first two days but after that my scale is not showing much results and I feel like I am having the problem of constipation that is why not shedding pounds. Is it normal? Should I continue? Before this diet I was eating 1200 calories per day and was losing average 2 pounds per week.. Should I stop weighing after every two days and wait till the end?

      Hi Kiran,

Thanks for your comment. You’re doing fine. Drinking green tea and vegetable soup are really good for your diet. I’m curious if you take any fruits. Fruits are good for constipation. If you still having problem with constipation, check with your doctor.

I hope you continue with this diet. Sometimes, when we are too eager to lose weight, we constantly weigh to see our body weight. Just stop weighing for now and wait till the end. I would prefer if you do some moderate exercises such as walking for 30 minutes. It will help you to lose more weight.

Hope this helps. Let me know your progress in few days time.

      Thank you.

I have completed my 2 weeks diet and I am very happy with the results. I have tried different diets before but nothing helped..my body resists any change..but with this diet I lost almost ten pounds and I was never feeling low in energy and had two cheat meals in second week..I also started walking for half an hour in the second week.
I want to do it again. But how much break should I take before restarting?

Take a week break and meanwhile, continue with your exercises and most important be proud with yourself. Nothing beats that and do share your amazing results with your family and friends.

After a week, you should be good to go again.

I am on day 7 of this diet and I have lost 10 pounds! The plan is really simple and I have not had any of the typical crazy sugar cravings that I normally have. I even made my salads a little bigger than usual a couple times when I just needed a little more. Fast walking and hot yoga are my exercises of choice and I just drink plain water. This plan must really work for me because with hypothyroidism it’s exciting to see the numbers on the scale go down for a change. Thanks so much.

Chicken is a good choice if you don’t like BBQ fish but don’t consume too much. Take in moderate portion. If it’s my choice, I prefer tuna salad but you can have chicken salad.

And for your last question, yes, you can add light mayo in the tuna salad but not always. Hope this helps.

Some of these comments are ridiculous. This diet will make you lose weight, it is your responsibility to maintain your weight when you get off the diet and make healthy choices. Your stomach will have shrank by the end of the diet so you should be able to get full quickly. When you go out to dinner, eat lean white meat and vegetables. Eat brown rice or sweet potatoes for your carbs for energy along with chicken and or fish. Trust me. Stay away from the sugary breads and deserts, leave the rolls and buns alone. I If you want pasta, but the kind made out of brown rice or quinoa. If you want chocolate ice cream for your sweet tooth, make it out of plain China no and cocoa powder with natural stevia, put it in the freezer. Please stop harassing the Author. She’s trying to help. It’s up to you to take responsibility over your diet, it all starts with buying the right foods and leaving the junk on the shelves at Kroger or wherever you shop.

This is awesome. I can only eat eggs if they are boiled. I thought this was going to be 20 eggs a day (lol) and I had to take time off from work so my office mate wouldn’t quit because of my Gas.

Can I also incorporate my ACV, lemon, honey and water drink with this diet? Also, how much fruit may I consume per meal?

Yes you can incorporate ACV, lemon, honey and water drink with this diet. No problem at all. With fruits, there is no restriction if i may say so. It’s normal to consume a few for any fruits. Hope this helps.

      Hi EricaXOXOGelly,

Seasoned chicken’ means the chicken has been processed using a mixture of salt, water and/or sodium phosphate and sometimes, flavoring.

Chicken not only tastes best when it is cooked right through but it is also “the safe thing to do”. Any bacteria that could potentially cause problems will be destroyed by the cooking process.

I have been searching for a reboot and I think I finally found it. I have done diets before and I can do pretty good with them once I see results. But lately I fell off the wagon due to higher then normal stress levels and higher blood sugar spikes. I think this can help me get back on track. And once it is complete, I should be able to maintain it with proper food. I do have a healthy food list my Dr wants me to follow after this to help maintain the weight.

This diet has been around for a long time. The person who post this did a great disservice by not explaining things very well. You can eat any egg any style just no added anything other than salt and pepper. Your body doesn’t know the difference between a poached egg or a scrambled egg, without anything added. However, you can have bacon and sausage? Odd. This diet is based on a high protein diet and counting calories to some extent. She could of explained meal bread by simply naming some brands, easy and less for her to answer.
I will admit I did not read every post but, my conclusion is that lots of questions but not too many saying how much they lost. INTERSTING. My husband is a pro hockey player and I have had to deal with some of the most celebrated nutritionist in the country and their thoughts on the best diet with concerns of needing sudden bursts of energy, weight loss, hydration and so on. Let me know when some average person looses 24 lbs in two weeks! The only person that can do this is by having a personal trainer, cook and nothing around your house for temptation. Look at actors who either gain or loose a lot of weight for a movie project. It’s done with constant supervision. You do starve, and workout like a maniac to try and accomplish that amount of weight loss. You are also starving and hungry. USE THE COMMON SENSE YOU WERE GIVEN. IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS,

      Hi Marlane,

You can have tea or coffee. As for menopause, please consult your doctor first before you attempt this diet.

Thanks and have a nice day.
